gauge cluster wiring

1967 F250. I removed the dash pad (real fun stuff) and the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster was changed out at some point by a previous owner from the original with warning lights to the cluster with full gauges. Everything looks like it is hooked up except there was one red wire hanging that goes to the ammeter. One yellow wire is hooked up to the ammeter and goes to the harness plug. The harness plug doesn't appear to have a spot for the red wire. There are two dummy slots on the plug that don't have terminals in them. Does anyone know how I can hook up this ammeter to work? I have yet to power up the truck. I am going to get a battery this week and attempt to start it. It has been idle for about 6 months.
Thanks

Here is how it's supposed to be hooked up. The wiring from the voltage regulator and battery side of the starter solenoid is different between gauges and idiot light. Note both the red and yellow wires now are connected to the solenoid. But the yellow one is junctioned with the charge wire from the alternator and the sensing wire to the regulator 1st.

This is how your truck was wired at the factory.
