Transmission swap
I'm building a 77 f150 the truck originally had a c6 but I want to put a 4spd in now do I have to change the crossmember some say I do some say I don't truck is a 4x4 thanks in advance

So if it is a married transmission/transfer case you do not have to change the cross member. You do have to move the transfer case frame support due to one transmission length being slightly different than the other (but there is already bolt holes in the frame for this).
You will then have to figure out which to safety switch wires you need to jump together so you can start the truck after you put the manual transmission in.
