Orderd my F350 srw ccsb 6.7 ps yesterday and I can not seem to find my front axle gvw anywhere. I will be adding a very specific plow to the truck that requires the front axle to have the 6000gvw. The build sheet the dealer made on his computer shows 11,500 gvw and naturally I have the snow plow prep package but does either these guarantee it will have the 6000FAGVW I need?
Well... yes you photo is very helpful but unfortunately your sticker shows your front gvw as only 5600 and I don't think that will do so I guess I need to talk to the dealer before the order is finalized.
I'm not an expert, so it's best for one to chime in - but how I understand it, is the front axle stays the same. If you order the snow prep, it changes the suspension configuration a bit, but not the axle. I could be wrong though, so hopefully someone with knowledge on the subject can confirm. Good luck and post back what you find out. It's good info to have.
F‐350 SRW 4x4 Styleside Pickup 159.8 WB has a 6000 pound GAWR for the front axle as long as you have the snow plow package and 11,500 GVWR. I'd say you are in good shape.
Always great to hear from someone who can give you the best resource! Thanks for the info also, I'll have to confirm my build sheet because I ordered the snow plow prep, but my sticker shows 5,600 gvw. Take care!
sdwk, I looked at your window sticker. Your truck does not have the Snow Plow package (47B). It has the heavy service front suspension (67H). That's why your axle is rated at 5600 pounds.
Oh Geez I didn't catch that! Well luckily what I thought I had ordered vs what I actually got shouldn't affect me too much. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!
You want the appropriate Front Gross Axle Weight Rating or FGAWR to be 6000. Terminology could create confusion when ordering. The GVWR is 11,500. The total gross vehicle weight rating need to be 11,5000 for this front GAWR you want. Just be careful you emplore your dealer with the correct terms so there isn't any confusion or disappointment when your truck arrives.

For the 2017s the highest FAWR you can get on a F250 or F350 SRW is 5,990 lbs. 2016 was the last year of the 6,000 lb FAWR on these models. And who knows why with Ford. The front axle assembly itself is rated for 6,000 lbs by Dana Spicer. Ford issues its FAWR based on the coil spring rating its computer tells it to put on the truck.
