need help identifying grill guard

This guard is currently on my truck and the previous owner had no clue what it came from. I'm hoping someone can help with what it came from so I can sell it and get one meant for the truck.

Homemade.... an OEM guard would have tighter bend radii. For what it is though, it works.

X5 on it looks home made or modded to sort of fit. No way, no how Ford OEM. Good luck locating an OEM one, they are sort of hard to find. And then at times can be very costly if the owner knows what they have.

I believe it is home made after inspecting the welds but the hoop and legsare solid bar that look likes it was drilled and tig welded bolts or studs in the end I can see. I just don't know what it could of been made for with how the lower mounting is designed. both ends have studs and the top has rubber washers and nylon lock nuts.
The more I look and search I'm kind of thinking a custom bumper with just a center protector is what I would like more. I have been drawing a few different ideas that may give me the look i'm after

I would say build some brackets for the bottom, paint it or chrome it and keep it. It doesn't look bad other than the surface rust. Well, on second thought, I would cut the plate off and mount the hooks to the brackets to be built for the lower part.
