Finally decided to ask my salesman for a vehicle order confirmation. What I got back was a VIN! Checked COTUS and it says 34 days to delivery. Not sure how accurate that figure is but its a starting point. It also says it scheduled to be built on June 11th.

That's my favorite day. (B-day) Congrats on the progress.
Liquid, if you dont mind, what was your order date? Just curious as I'm trying to gauge progress on my build. Every day that goes by my anticipation grows. Hope I'm not the only one like that.

So I go on COTUS today and my truck has moved to "In Production" and there is a "window sticker" tab to click on. However after clicking and relocating me to a different website, its not actually loading a window sticker. So I guess I'm not sure if I have a sticker yet or not.

You do, but you won't be able to view it until tomorrow. That button shows up 1 day before it's actually accessible.
No problem. Since we're all in this boat of misery together - waiting - might as well share what I've run into so far.
My truck is 'In Transit' purgatory. Listed as a 'convoy' order - yet it shows up in the BNSF tracking tool.. without any meaningful information. I guess it's somewhere between Kentucky and Colorado, maybe on a train, maybe on a truck. Maybe sitting in a Ford parking lot somewhere.
Trying to make camping plans with the new truck before summer gets to far along. The wait is basically driving me insane.
I am wondering about break in as well. I may need to take a 400 mile trip on highway right away. Is that a problem for break in? Any info on that sort of thing?

Everyone has an opinion on break in
*My opinion* is before you tow heavy, try to get in a good mix of city / highway miles... the closer to 1000 miles of this, the better (per Ford). 1000 miles *is* the break in period. And it's basically for the rear differential - not the motor.
Other opinions (not sanctioned by Ford) are that Super Duty's are work trucks. Fleet managers buy a boat load of them at a time, and immediately put them into heavy service the moment they hit the customers lot. Those 'commercial' applications come with the same owners manual that we get in our trucks... you know the one that says break in is 1000 miles
Compromise - I'm going to put as many miles on my new truck as I can before towing heavy, but it probably won't be 1000 miles. I also plan on changing my differential fluid at the first oil change. I want this truck to last 20 years.
ETA - if you aren't towing, highway miles is fine, just try to vary your speed / rpms during the trip... i.e. don't drive for 3 hours straight at 70mph in 6th gear.
I have had my truck for just about over 2 weeks (2 weeks and 2 days) and just got the magic 1000 break in miles completed this morning. We have a 7300 mile road trip planned pulling the 5th wheel this summer (a couple weeks away), so we wanted to stick to the Ford recommended break in as much as possible to avoid any hassles or anything if something should come up.

what tracking tool are you guys using? And do you track with the vin or do you have to find a tracking #?

However it still doesn't show on COTUS and mine is supposed to be built next week. I just think there may be an issue with the link because the WS button has been there since my truck showed in COTUS. Try the link and thank johnpsz as I got it from one of his posts
