That's what I run, along with stainless braided lines and speed bleeders. Love them.

I did get two left rear calipers in my kit and had to trade it out. Awful hard to bleed a caliper with a bleeder on the bottom.

That is what a bunch of us run on our rigs. That said NEVER order from carid, anything. IIRC Summit racing has the best deal on them.

I just finished putting on an entire Powerstop Z36 kit and Russell Steel-braided hoses last night. Got it all from Summit.

I'd probably just get the parts individually, might be able to do it for cheaper. I know for what I use my Excursion for, slotted and drilled rotors are going to be a waste and I don't need powder coated calipers that will never be seen.

You can probably just get away with fresh pads and rotors, then perform a fluid flush. Some people like stainless lines, but I really feel that they are a waste of money for an Excursion. You could just do new rubber lines if you're concerned about them.

Brake fluid is usually a highly neglected item on cars of any type. A $25 vacuum bleeder from Harbor Freight and you can bleed your Ex in less than an hour... makes a very noticeable improvement.

Obviously, if you just have money to blow, then buy the Powerstop kit and be done with it.

Just put the powerstop z36 on mine all they way around. Have not done the ss hoses yet but stopping power is much improved from the old set up. Believe the only diff from the z36 and 23 is the back of the pad. One is ss and the other is something else if not mistaken. 4wheel parts had the best prices I could find, hands down. Furthermore, you do not have to pay for a core charge with them and then send the calipers back on your dime. Don't know if it works like that at the other dealers but it did with the few I looked at. I can also tell you that one of my rear caliper slide pins were boogered up and crossed threaded. Had to use one off of my old set up. No big deal, works as it is supposed to.

I'll be ordering from Summit.

And I'll be doing these lines as well.

pretty decent price but I did not want to have to pay the core charge and have to pay for the shipping back to them. The calipers are heavy.

Sending mine back to Summit soon. Will know soon enough, but a flat rate box is definitely the direction I'm trying to go.

I ordered the front powerstop Z36 kit from Amazon to install while doing the hub bearing units. It is a very nice kit and there was no core charge. I had previously installed Russell Stainless Steel brake lines last year when I installed a new Motorcraft master cylinder (necessary after failure and loss of brakes).

Keep in mind, a fresh brake bleeding annually does do wonders. I was surprised at how nasty mine was after just a year an 10,000 miles.

Powerstop kit

Are you guys replacing calipers also? It looks like some of the kits are just rotors and pads. I make no serious need of some different brakes while towing my 35'TT.

i did, but they are usually just remanufactured ones with fancy paint so if you like the condition of yours you may be able to save the money and just press yours out.

I didn't realize my post got messed up.

My calipers are good but the brakes are awful. If everybody seems to be happy with the Powerstop kit then I may just order mine.
