I bought a Donor BBW complete at the Super Nationals last week. While taking it apart, to begin welding it into my 56 Cab, I tried to remove the Stainless Trim from the rubber Gasket. The two side pieces came out nicely but the top and bottoms were glued into place.
I can't find a diagram of the BBW in my 56 F100 shop manual but I'm pretty sure the Top & Bottom are suppose to have clips. Anyone have a diagram of the BBW break down and possibly the part number for the Clips?
I don’t know what clips you are referring to other than the outside ones that hide the ridge of the seams. There are four of these clips; I purchased some from Mid Fifties a few years ago. Here’s a picture:
I just installed a new tinted back window. I took the truck to a shop since I broke the first one.
I'm not sure. The side pieces have a lip to fit in the groove of the window rubber but the bottom & top are hollow and look like they should have some sort of clips to hold them in the window rubber.

Bottom view of the top piece. The glob is the glue that held it to the window rubber.
The trim wraps around the center ridge of the rubber window seal...no glue should be necessary to hold them in place. Here is a pic of my BBW...the 4 clips are in the same location as shown in edzkory's pic.

all 4 trim sections should have the lip that goes into the groove of the rubber. You say the straights don't have a back side lip?
There aren't lips on the long upper and lower pieces just shaped like a U a smaller size but shaped like the 4 clips. The ends have a lip that goes into the rubber.
The third picture I posted shows one long section's top and the other is upside down showing the bottom.
The left is right side up. The right is upside down.
The side view of the center piece shows the metal piece that fits inside the rubber molding slit. I do not see the lip that locks it in place. No glue or sealer is used.
The metal trim pieces must be inserted into the molding prior to installing the window; the original trim was all stainless. It is odd that your center pieces do not have the lip.
Try calling Mid Fifties, the sell the trim and can best answer your issue since I cannot examine mine now that it is installed.

I believe we've established that the top and bottom stainless strips are incorrect. I believe that all Four major pieces have a tongue. My two straight strips don't. Are any available?
OK, from what I can tell the moldings you (BJ) show in the pics are in fact drip rail moldings and not window trims. I remembered that I had the rear window from my truck here at the house so I took a couple of photos showing the trim as installed in the window seal...it definitely has a "tongue". The third pic is of a bunch of windshield trims I have stashed...they also have the same style tongue.
Yea Charlie your 2nd picture is how my two end pieces are (with the tongue). My straights look like your first picture only: NO TONGUE. I thought incorrectly that maybe they were missing clips that slid into the channels and then acted as "tongues" into the window rubber, but now I'm going to have to locate the correct top & bottom pieces. I'm drooling over your stash Charlie.
As always one step forward two steps back.
