Morning
My question is My father inlaw purchased a Ranger and he has a dog and every time he locked the car and the dog is inside the alarm goes off. We red the manual and it said we can do a partial by locking the car with the key and this should turn it off. but this does not work either is there a solution to the problem.
If he has the digital command center on the dash and the features are like other Ford vehicles, go into VEHICLE ADVANCED SETTINGS.
It will give him 3 choices:
1. Perimeter
2. All Sensors
3. prompt every time.
If the dog is with him a lot set it to 'perimeter', if not then set it to 'prompt every time' and every time he goes to exit the vehicle he can choose 'perimeter' only and the motion sensor will not be active or choose 'all' if the dog is not with him.
