Recently pulled off the intake and forgot to take note of where all of the lines go. Now the transmission refuses to shift. It will go into 1st gear fine but will not shift beyond that. If I put it manually into 2nd it will go but it wont do it by itself. Can someone direct me to a place that might have a diagram of where the lines hook to and where they come from. All the manual says is " Remove and clearly mark all vacuum lines."
There's a vacuum line that goes to the transmission vacuum modulator, one to the climate control, one to the brake booster, one to the cruise control, one to the fuel pressure regulator. They all originate at the octopus at the rear of the manifold. Also, I believe the PCV does as well. The brake booster and cruise are the largest lines, followed by the PCV. The vaccum modulator, fuel pressure regulator and the climate control are all small diameter lines (about 1/8 inch OD). I believe the tranny vacuum modulator is located on the rear of the transmission (it's the only thing on the tranny with a vacuum line). The fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail. The climate control line goes to the right rear of the firewall near the blower. There should be a crude vacuum diagram on a sticker under the hood. If there is a MAP sesnor (used on the older models), I wouldn't be surprised if it comes off the octopus as well, but I don't know for sure.
Near the throttle body, there is a vacuum line hookup for the charcoal cannister. I think that covers them all. I hope this helps.
The tranny line is metal from the tranny and then becomes a rubber hose ...if you pull your doghouse off you will see the line coming up on the right (passenger side) the line connects to the octopuss..all the lines that hook up to the octopuss are...brake booster, cruise control, fuel pressure regulator, transmission vacuum modulator..the other front vacuum hoses are connected from charcoal canister to the purge solenoind then to the throttle body..
