power steering play
hello- maybe im spoiled with the tightness of the new trucks....but I recently swapped in a 76 power steering gearbox to my 71 f-100 and am surprised to find about 30 degrees of steering wheel play. I had my wife move the steering wheel and validated its gearbox play, not drag links etc... would something like a red head reman unit tighten that up? or is that normal? anyone deal with this? thank you in advance

I just did the bottom seals in my steering gear-they're heavy, aren't they!?!?
Anyway, I did the $20 seals cuz the RedHead was over $300 plus a $200 core plus two way shipping...

x2 on trying the adjustment on the existing box (Search the forum for how to do this, if you turn the adjustment screw too much you'll have more problems). New Redhead/Bluetop steering gears will certainly solve it but like PBY says, it's $.
