I have an 89 ford f250 with a 351 w all stock besides the lift an having 38.5 14.50 on it. Im having problems i have put new cap button plug wires fuel pump an a fuel cell it ran fine after i did all that then as i was driving it seemed like i lost all power i had to pump the throttle to keep it barley running me an my boy just took it for a test drive if i barley put my foot on throttle it would speed up but if i put it to the floor it acted like it was missing or not getting any fuel it smelt like i had more in the cab then i was putting through the engine. Does any one have any idea
OK, did the motor run fine before the fuel cell install?
Did you bypass all of the stock fuel system or is the fuel cell plumbed in like one of the original tanks? Does the fuel cell have a low pressure or high pressure pump in it? Do you have a return line plumbed into the fuel cell too?
That truck originally had low pressure in-tank pumps with a high pressure pump on the frame along with a switching valve/resovoir.
Have you verified that fuel pressure stays up under load while driving?
