Zerk = Hollow cavity for grease = less strength, more contamination possible.
Sealed no zerk = solid metal = strong, and less contamination.
Sadly no. Sealed ball joint = PLASTIC self-lubricating socket, likely worn out by 60,000 miles. Replace with an aftermarket Moog ball joint (with zerk fitting), never replace it again if periodically lubricated. There is no hollow cavity in a ball joint with a zerk fitting, just a couple of grooves in the socket which is metal (sintered iron, maybe a bronze alloy). Check the other Super Duty forums and see how many have issues with OEM non-greaseable ball joints.
There are 8 total on the front end of the 2017 F450. Have not checked the rear end for some odd reason. I grease em every oil change, and I just did my third a few weeks back.
