1949 V8 battery dimensions / group size 12v?
I need to get a 12v battery that will fit the tray for a 1949 V8 (passenger side).
I don't have the truck with me but need to purchase the battery today. Can someone help with dimensions of the tray or battery or a 12v battery group size?
Thanks in advance.

I'd guess you'd want to know the original 6 volt battery group size so the dimensions could be crossed to a similar 12 volt battery group size.

As I recall, a Group 24 will fit in the stock tray, but the stock hold-downs won't work.

I've got an Optima Group 34 in mine.
Not a direct deal with the hold-downs but
nothing that can't be addressed pretty quickly.

Thank you. Group 24 is the same size, but just 1 inch taller. I bought the 24.
