id love to see him as well, one of my favorite guys to listen to when im in the mood for something not so hardcore and need to put the metallica and ac/dc aside
Just got back from the show....Another fine performance.
The new album "Greendale" is a concept album and each song tells a part of the story. He had actors playing parts, like in a play, in the background while he jammed out front. The new songs were all excellent.
He then came back for an encore and played all old songs, starting with "my my hey hey" and into "rockin in the free world" then, "Powder Finger" followed which is one of my favorites.
This show is a must see for any Neil Young fan. Check pollstar.com for upcoming events.
Man, you lucked out.
I saw him at Red Rocks in July, and it was the lamest concert I have ever been to. He did an encore, but he didn't play anything I had ever heard. Not one classic tune.
The volume was so low that I was whispering to my buddy so I wouldn't disturb the other people, and I was so bored that I got wasted because the beer stand was more interesting than the music.
I thought that since he was with Crazy Horse that the show would rock, but I was ripped off. I am a huge Neil Young fan, but I got ripped off not once but twice, because the last time I saw him he pulled the same crap. I saw him in '97 on the HORDE tour, and it was a fantastic show.
I won't ever pay to see him again. In fact, I want my $50 back.

Just saw Greendale on the dish last night. Acoustic concert in Dublin I believe. FANTASTIC ! I gotta get to the record store. I want that one. I think that was the most I've ever seen him actually talk about his songs. Three thumbs up.....Way up!

I hear that often ....seems most either love him or hate him. I am like that with a few artists. Springsteen for one, his voice just rubs me the wrong way.
