I really like Neil Young. I almost saw him once in concert but didn't quite make it into the arena (it's a long story that involves a bottle of MD 20/20).
I also really like James Taylor. For some reason I think of those two in the same way.

I guess that "dates" me huh? Been listening to neil since the 70's too. Haven't actually bought any new music for quite some time. Used to record (copy) my own onto tapes. What are they using now?
i mostly burn my music onto cd-r's but if its a particularly good album i will go to the store and buy it... very easy to burn your own music just got to be careful about the riaa
recording industry association of america is the exact name i believe, anyways thats al the record companys trying to sue people who let others download music from them making it easier to not buy overpriced cds...
Neil is awesome. CSNY is my favorite band of all time. I would love to see him in concert. That would definately fill a void in my classic rock concert list (everything from aerosmith to zz top Ive seen).
I am a Neil fan!!! Got all the records. He inspired half of our neighborhood to pick up a guitar and start playing. If you don't like his singing then listen to that guitar, one of the best!!!
Neil keeps his sailboat, the Ragland, in Port Townsend, Washington. A friend of mine was a deckhand on it for a year or so and about 3 or 4 years ago my brother-in-law did a temporary gig onboard when Neil came up and sailed to San Francisco for a July 4th party. They had a great time and hanging with Neil out on the ocean where he is just shark food like everyone else was a unique experience.
I haven't listened to new music much for a few years but have always liked him. One of the things I have always admired about him is his tendancy to continually re-invent himself. Most old rockers are very period and only play the old stuff because nobody wants to hear their attempts to change style. He has always done his own thing whether anybody liked it or not.
The CSNY years are still some of my favorites.
