Cup Holders

Just wondering if I'm the only one having this problem, The cup holders suck! The bubbles that hold the cup in place are flattened out, I noticed it when I brought the truck home, If i put in a smaller can it bounces around and wont hold the drink securely, Is there a fix for this? 2017 f250 platinum, For this expensive truck I thought Ford can get the basics right.

My truck is a job 1 build and had your crappy cup holder retentions up front and I had my dealer swap them out for a job 2 cup holder which are significantly better. They are spring loaded and hard plastic and hold everything from my large yeti 32oz cup to a small 8oz redbull nice and secure. They swapped it out for me free of charge and I have no clue what the part number is because they pulled the job 2 cup holders from an existing truck on their lot and put my job 1 holders in there. Talk about customer service at its finest.

With that said moving from job 1 to job 2 holders is possible.

I keep seeing guys reference Job 1 and Job 2 in different posts. Don't want to be ignorant so can you educate me on what that means?

The build cycle is broken up into 3 parts (jobs) each year. Small changes and improvements are done at the changeover. Sometimes options and colors are dropped too. For example, during the 2017 job 1 to job 2 changeover, the cupholder design was updated and the rear USBs were added. However, the SRW 350 short bed 6.7 lost the 3" receiver and got the 2.5" instead.

Whomever "they" are, they are full of buffalo bagels. They can order any part you request. If you wanted to order a grill for a '89 Mustang and use it as a cup holder how is it any of their business what you plan to do with it. "They" just don't know what they are doing and feeding you BS.

It was the dealership where I bought the truck! Said they can only replace the same thing they take out. So if it happens again I will get the job 2 cup holders
