Water Pump Question?

I just made a comment in another thread about finding a replacement water pump. Like you, I have a 215 cid engine. Mine is a 52, but I'm not sure if that matters. My water pump was leaking, and I took my truck to a local shop for a repair. They fixed me up with a new pump. I remember the repair was expensive, but there didn't seem to any special drama involved with locating a replacement pump. My old pump was not re-built. It was replaced.

That's an interesting bit of information, ivmcc. My replacement pump has a two-belt pulley. Maybe my repair included the pulley switch like you had to do and that accounted for the higher than expected charge. It wasn't mentioned at the time, however.
