Recently brought a 93 f350 crew cab no start no spark ignition is all new and pump is shot but all things point to the ECM.problem I think they replaced it before but forced a new one in and it is wedged in there.looking for suggestions to get it out. It's a XLT F350 Lariat..
Where is it located on a 93? On a 95 it comes out from the engine compartment and its easier to do with the driver's inner fender moved out and forward.
I did one before thus one think they just forced in its wedge did the fender remaival.and stuff jus thought maybe someone may know of another way or had the same problem.and figured some remedy that worked

I actually have all unbolted but it's fricken stuck previous owners must have jus forced on in prior not caring about the next guy I guess.
From the picture your rubber weather protector is still bolted in. I don't remember if you have to remove it first or not. I think so. If you have removed it already can you move the PCM at all? will it wiggle any?

Those pictures are from when I removed mine to work on the capacitors. I was just showing the view from the fender point of view.
I came across this. I have no idea if it will work for your truck. It seems you free the PCM from inside and still remove it from the firewall. So the Parking brake should not be a problem. ???
From inside the cab, locate the PCM. It is just forward of the parking brake pedal and to the far left of the under dash area. First remove the two 7mm. bolts holding the black plastic PCM housing to the metal PCM mounting bracket . These bolts are located at the rear of the computer. Next, remove the two 10mm. fasteners holding the metal PCM mounting bracket in place. One of the 10mm. fasters is a bolt that is located above the top of the PCM and through the metal bracket, and threads into the left side (drivers side) of the under dash kick panel area. The other 10mm. fastener is a nut and is located at the bottom of the computer on the firewall

I will see if that will. Do the trick Thank You
Old thread, but adding this for future reference. I thought my ECM was stuck, too, but it turned out to just be catching on the bottom edge of the firewall metal, which was raised slightly above flush with the ECM bracket.
If ECM won't slide out easily and seems stuck, try lifting it a bit before you pull. The hole in the firewall probably isn't perfectly aligned with the bracket, so wiggling the ECM up, down, left, or right should enable you to get it lined up. Once it's lined up with the hole in the firewall, it should slide out into the engine bay pretty easily.
