Difference between pre march 99 and post march 99 4X4

Anyone know the difference between the pre March 99 and post March 99? I am about to put a 6" lift on my F350 PSD Ext cab and was curious about the difference?

I think the u-bolts are one of the easiest ways to determine pre and post march 99. I have an early 99 and mine are square.

the track bar bracket is different and so is the pitman arm. If you get the wrong kit these as well as the u-bolts as tank mentioned will be wrong.

Thanks for the info.

I am also finding something different in the air intake area as I have been looking at various upgrades for it as well. Any ideas?

I think that's towards the end of 98 when they changed the inlet from the wheelwell to the grill like the V-10's.

Mine is a 3/3/98 the airbox opening is behind the grill. The track rod is different so is the hole in the axle and the hole in the bracket as well as the bolts. You can buy a new bracket but the axle hole will have to be drilled 3/4 If I remember correctly..

A buddy of mine had an early '99 PSD as his service truck at work and they had a problem with it sucking water into the intake and soaking the filter when they would drive it on the highway and it was raining.

If you wanted to upgrade to an AFE there are some shops that sell the combination '99.5+ aibox and AFE that as a package deal saves about $75.00 over buying them individually.
