Adaptive stearing regrets?

So luck blessed me and I will be purchasing my SD or ordering rather sooner than July.

im narrowing down the options I want for sure and am trying to decide is adaptive stearing worth it or not. Do you who decided not to get it regret not getting it?

I'd go for it man. My only concern was going to be replacement cost if it went bad, but the part is cheap and you just have to pop off the air bag and undo like two bolts.

Mine came as part of the Tow Technology Bundle;
Make the task of towing easier with adaptive steering, automatic high beam with rain-sensing windshield wipers, lane departure warning, and Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System (includes 360-degree camera plus center high-mount stop lamp camera)
I can't say that I really notice it, steering is heavy in these things so if it makes me have to spin the wheel less I guess that's a good thing.

I've wondered how the steering will react at highway speeds under an emergency situation where the driver needs to swerve to miss something in the roadway or another driver doing something stupid directly in front.

Well first off what do you plan on doing with your truck?

Also you can get tow tech package with out fx4 package. I know like mine I told the dealer I wanted a 4x4 but they put fx4 since I pull off all the shocks no sense of having fx4 package to me. But they reduced the price more of what the fx4 packaged cost from my truck.

Also make sure you get aux switches when you order you cannot add them later.

i have virtually the same package on my current rig and I feel like it's not worth the price. Hill descent control is okay but not really needed.

Skid plates can be added for 83$ and adding the package makes it a 700+$ increase cause they force you to pay for different tires and shocks that aren't that great,

I'll buy my own tires and put fox 2.0 shocks on the rig to make it how I want. Just think it's not worth the money

Like the adaptive steering, think it makes backing the trailer easier because of less input into wheel. Didn't order the FX4 package but did the skid plate. Also got tow technology and love the camera system.

Buy the skid plates as an option for cheap. Adaptive steering works.

FX4 also gives you the electronic locking differential. I expect that's where a big chunk of the $700-800 comes from.

If you ever drive down some greasy slick hills with wet grass you will appreciate the descent control.
It will be on my 2018.

I get what you're saying but I can play with the brake and gas on a wet grassy hill. I just honestly do not wanna pay for tires and ranch shocks.

If they gave me to hill descent control without the tires and shocks I'd buy it
