Weak AC
When it gets hot, 100+, my AC can't cut it.
BARELY comfortable at best when I went through Pheonix in the summer.
The dealer says that it is normal.
How can I get it to work right?
My 1993 Chevy used to blast out ice.
Is it just the new refrigerant or is it the Crew cab size?
I think if Ford required their designers to drive what they design, then we'd get some action.
Driving in Detriot in the fall and winter doesn't count.
Send them to Arizona in the summer and then they'll fix the AC "weakness."

I'm assuming by your post, you've had your system converted to R-134? If it was done properly, it should cool fairly well, within a few degrees of the original R-12. You may want to put a set of gauges on it, and see where you stand.
I did not know that I could swap it out.
My concern if I went to another refrigeratnt would be freezing the system.
It can get colder, but is it safe to do so?
Wouldit be compatible with the system I have now?
Ooops, I didn't read your sig. The 2002 should have R-134. It should cool good, being it was designed for R-134. My '94 van was the first year to use R-134, and it cools great, and it doesn't have dual air.
Aren't you still under warranty? If so, take it to the dealer and have them fix it.
