Actually if you really think about 800.00 is close to what you would be paying on Ebay Craigslist, Kijiji etc for an OEM Ford console like you see in the 11 and up Ford Superduty's that dont have the jump seat.
So considering the fact that you got your custom to your liking and with features you thought you'd like, 800.00 bucks is a deal.
I have been searching for a center console for my 11 SD and finding one that isnt an arm and a leg has been a challenge to say the least cheapest I have seen is 750.00.
So all in all I think that was a decent deal for a customized one. I never actually heard of the HDPE material, but it has my wheels turning that it could be an option if I cant get my hands on an OEM one.

As far as using HDPE for your own works... it seems affordable but you'd need to learn to "weld" it or its gonna have lots of screws in it lol nothing wrong with that.
And I would be happy to share all of my measurements if someone wanted to craft something like it....

Console looks great!! The portable power would be a super nice opinion as well.
Wish I was closer I would take you up on the jump seat. Planning a trip coming up and thought about buying one just for the trip so we could take 6.

This thing is great! I am STILL satisfied with the outcome for the money.
Heck... I'm thinking of putting in two rear captains chairs and adding another one of his consoles back there... but without the part that sweeps up to meet the dash. Kind of like the 08-10 consoles... but bigger and stronger, that way I can still lay long items on the floor, or let the dog lay down there.

Always been a Troy console fan and have had them in all my vehicles for last 15 years or so, work and personal. However started seeing PlastixPlux coming through our shop lately in some Fire Chiefs vehicles and I am sold. Next work vehicle will have one.

I am stoked to add the command center to the back of my wife's 4runner. The rear of her car is a mess... I think the two drawers would add a lot of organization. But I'm holding out to see how the new "bronco" looks. if it's a close match to the 4runner in going back to my beloved oval. Then I will get it lol

I actually talked to Mike about making a custom cabinet for the rear of a crew cab. Would take out passenger side rear seat and have a cabinet and locking drawer that would be accessable from rear passenger side door. He said they are backed up about 6 months on orders now and couldn’t even consider anything custom.

2020 Update
ZERO change.
Even with hunting, fishing, camping, and a whole lotta tools and junk from work this console looks the same as day one tough s.o.b.
The elbow pad shows no wear and I'm a leaner!
Power inverter and all components function 100%
