Yes it is! I've done the math and if you will use it, it is definitely worth it. Good at any ford dealer and you can buy it from any ford dealer. Like blownsmk said, use his contact. I talked to his guys for about 20 minutes on Saturday and he's one of the nicest guys I have talked to in this business. He even said, his feelings wouldn't be hurt if you used the info you got from him to get a good deal from your dealer, which really surprised me. I think he's the kind of guy I like doing business with. I've checked other site and some you have to buy the Extended Service Plan from them in order to buy the Maintenance plan from them . Not true with the guys mentioned above. It won't hurt to talk to him if you are interested. Here's the website that describes the plan:
Yes, mine is a ford plan, 200k Km, 8 years, Oil changes and services at 8000 km or 5 k miles. Good at any Ford dealer, make an appointment, your in. Add to that, I have warrenty to 200 k Km.
There is no quibbling about what is covered, no quibbling if the maintenance was done properly, or the wrong oil was used, or the wrong filters, poor quality DEF, nothing. It's their job.
I didn't get the synthetic package for oil. Reason being, if I am going into winter, and the cold, and I have to tow, they have to put the right oil in it for the conditions.
I hope I never have to use the extra warranty. Only time will tell. This is the first time I have ever bought extra warrenty or a service package.
I can't wait until I can PM Blwnsmoke to get his guys number. Looks like going to both programs as I plan to keep this truck for 8 years. Hopefully I will get my truck mid to late June.
I couldn't find a thread on this anywhere so I thought I'd start one. Anyone have any experience with the Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan? My wife owned a BMW once and all the service was covered and I really liked that. My questions are:
1. Are they as painless as just taking your vehicle in for service and driving away happy when they finish? Or is there a deductible?
2. Do they provide a loaner while they are working on your vehicle or is that dealer dependent?
3. What did it cost and how long did it cover the vehicle?
4. If you've had one before, was it worth it and would you consider buying another one for you new Super Duty?
Thanks in Advance!

if you take advantage of every service it is worth it IF you get a good price on it. But many prefer to do their own oil changes and fuel filters so in that case, skip it.
My contact for ESPs also sells the maintenance plans at $100 over cost so it is easier to be ahead by buying at that price. You can PM me if interested in getting one and I'll get you his info.
Hello - new F150 owner here. Can you please share your contact info for your contact who sells the ASPs? Regards, DT6
I had a service plan on my 2006.
I was happy with it
Everything was taken care of.
Drop it off at dealer and pick it up.
They replaced brakes once at least.
All oil changes, other fluids, wipers, drain WIF, etc...
I have done 4 services so far. I’m at 36,000 km. Next will be 40,000. Yes, they change the oil each time you bring it in. In addition to the 4 oil changes and filter, one fuel filter set, 3 cabin filters, 3 sets of wipers, DEF 4 times(on empty :-)). Washer fluid filled, coolant topped up, both sections, 300 pt check up. They measure brake pads, tire tread depth, show you on a report. Brake services and parts are included. Part of my package is the warranty specified trans, diffs, transfer cases etc at 160,000. I know when I did all this on my last truck my self it was very expensive just for the oils.
the one downside is your changing the oil every 5,000 miles(8000 km). My IOLM is saying I am at 45-50% oil life on this OCI. So technically, I could get away with half the oil changes and filters. Given how black the oil is in a diesel, I can’t imagine I would wait till the IOLM says to change.
so far I am pretty impressed. The other bonus is if I had too, I could stop at any Ford dealer for service. On long trips, just due to timing, this will likely come in handy.
Hi,
im not sure if I’m posting this message correctly, but you mentioned in a post that you have a point of contact for an extended Maintenance Plan?
I would appreciate any assistance you wish to offer.
Im a new owner and new to the forum, and am looking forward to it.
Regards,
DT6

Just wondering if you still had contact at ford for Maintenance Plan? Thanks for your time.
