New from British Columbia 1986 F250
Hello. I have owned this truck for 20 years. I bought it when it had 47,000km (29,000 miles) It now has about 300,000km (180,000miles). I'm not exactly sure because I changed the dash out for one with rpm gauge about ten years ago. It has always run great except about 8 years ago I had a intermittent faulty ignition module that would cut out and then come back which led to a spectacular back fire and blew out three exhaust manifold bolts on each side. I had to pull the heads to drill out the bolts but after that it always ran to the high temp side. I replaced everything to do with cooling including sender and dash gauge, but still hot. The only thing I can think is maybe I put the head gasket in wrong which I knew about but still not sure. So am in the process of pulling it down again. The first time I managed to put it back together with all the stock emissions **** on because I wanted to keep it bone stock. Not this time I am deleting it. It is just too hard to do anything with that **** on there. So I will be hanging out at the 86 section to try and get info on other people that have done this.
I know long intro, eh. Funny fact I have owned this truck for 20 years and never knew they were called bull nose until I came here.
Thanks for having me, Mike.
