You should be able to pull the codes on an EEC-IV system with a jumper wire between the self-test input cinnector and the signal return pin terminal 2. A haynes fuel injection manual is about $17.00 and has fairly detailed instructions. You can also do a search on this site and find good info on pulling codes.

well yeah, i know. I have read in both my haynes manual and this site on how to pull the codes, i was just wondering if this reader would turn pulling the codes into just plugging it in.
