It looks like the adjust-while-hitched feature is what sets it apart not to mention the fact that it is just very cool to look at. I did a quick search and didn't find pricing but it looks expensive. Like it will make the Weigh Safe feel like a bargain.
Other than the aesthetics, I just see a bunch of failure points.
I found the info, yes it is a pretty nice looking setup and I'm sure it works pretty good. I've just never been able to trust an alum. hitch, probobly a stupid thing on my part but I have heard of a couple of them breaking. Anyway they do make a steel version.......steel $319, 2" alum. $366-$439, 2.5" alum. $379-$449
Neat idea and looks very cool. Definitely looks better than the huge weigh-safe hitches you see. But as Epic mentioned, more moving parts just seems like more room for error. Im sure its very durable though.
I consistently swap between 2" and 2 5/16" *****, so this one won't work for me. So far I'm happy with my weigh safe.
I take that for granted now and it's easy to forget. Switching ***** is effortless with the Weigh Safe. No need for tools or to carry extra hitches. I never expected I'd become such a fan of WS but I am. It wouldn't surprise me if one of the big names starts making a similar design.
Neat concept, don't like all the bolts. Especially when in the image at the very end (1:44) you can see that the one locknut (lower right) isn't even properly installed. Bolt doesn'te even make it to the nylon, let alone the standard of at least 1 fullsize thread exposed beyond the nylon. And they don't put them all together the same either it appears. Some images, the bolts heads are all on one side, others they're all on the opposite side.
This seems overly complicated. The main selling feature is how easy it is to adjust and can be done without removing the hitch from the truck. I find my Weigh Safe about 90% as easy since I need a key vs just pulling the pin. I still do not need to remove it from the truck to adjust the height.
"Any man can survive with just one ball." Um yeah as long as every trailer you pull (they make a big point of switching trailers) uses the same ball size. I need both the 2" and 2 5/16 for the 2 trailers I pull on a regular basis.
I like the distance between the hitch and the ball, The weight safe is very short shank and half of my landscape trailers 16 X 7.2 tandem Axle have a jack in the center on the trailer, and if you open the tailgate say goodby to your camera. It will hit the jack handle. I was very disappointed with Weight Safe when I called them. No returns for the three I have because they were all mounted for a couple days (until it was discovered they hit) and will not custom make a longer shank. 900.00 and stupid expensive to ship if you try to sell. I hate Craig's list but thats my only out to try to recoup anything.

I have this same issue with my 18' car trailer. I removed that stand and installed one that folds out of the way. I was too nervous that I would pop the tailgate forgetting I had the trailer.
