Glad you could restore it to its glory. There is nothing like working with your brother to build those bonds even stronger. Bet both of you will remember this and tell stories to your grandkids.
did you build the exhaust yourself? Not many places will do 304 but want to do 400 series stuff. even getting the material in 304 is not that easy to find.
The NOS grill shell is nice - the fit and finish is so much better than the repro stuff.

It currently is just turn downs straight out of the headers. It has to go to a shop for the exhaust. It will be 304 stainless I guess that is why it is going to cost me $2,500 parts and labor just for the chaust system. It will have 304 mufflers as well.

I've been doing tractor repair and now restoration for the last 25 years. I have a local lady that does my seats. She is mids 60's ish. She does great work. We even podwer coated the seat frame while it was out. She wont pick the colors so I had to due that with little 2"x2" color squashes. Boy I was glad it looked good when done. She was even proud of it.
I don't know how any one could ever afford to pay someone to do this.
I wonder the same thing. On the one I'm doing, it will probably wind up between 45 and 50K - and that is with me doing all the labor except for paint, body, engine machine shop services, trans transfer case and differential(s) rebuilding.
Here is another one. I figured out how to do this you tube posting whoopeee. Had to edit a bit, had to adjust my little buddies car seat and check for big rocks.
