Carrier Bearing

So, How bad is it? I've got to change the one in my 1990 F250, due to the truck rattling my teeth out at 65 MPH. Any tips from someone who's tackled this job, before? The part is only $30 and it looks like I can maybe tackle it in a couple of hours.

The center support bearing on my '69 F250 was pressed onto the driveshaft. I imagine that hasn't changed. I used a 20 ton shop press to press the old one out, and install the new one. You'll need a bearing separator too; there isn't anything to support the old bearing in the press.

Well, If I get in over my head, I wonder what a shop would charge for labor? Thanks, for the input.

$100/hr is a safe guess.
