Heim joint question
So I previously posted about the master slave cylinder but to my surprise after I met with my mechanic I have to install a heim joint for my clutch lever or something (I'm no mechanic so excuse my lack of knowledge) in order to fix the problem.
I did a little bit of digging regarding buying the part so I bought the part on ebay but the question is since it said it was a fix for 87 and up but didn't have anything for my particular model. The mechanic told me that the part was this heim joint on ebay I ended up buying but I was hoping if you guys could answer my question regarding if this part will work on my model? I have a 1986 ford f250 6.9 idi. The mechanic said it would work but I thought I'd ask you guys if I would be able to install it myself and if it is the right part? If so, is this something I would be able to do myself with instructions?
heres the part btw

Thanks again everybody I appreciate it.

wow that's pretty expensive for a heim joint and a bolt.
if youre not mechanically inclined, I would say to let your mechanic do it.
but then if your mechanic was any kind of mechanic, he could have made one for you for that price.
I purchased one from my local race shop for 7 bucks, and a 2 dollar bolt, then welded them together.
