...mask before sanding so not to scratch the anodized trim. Unmask, degrease, mask again and spray. I don't know about the wood. If its a vinyl decal, I would take it off with a heat gun.

Thanks, I want to find something other than the woodgrain. Maybe black or charcoal. I've got a cool heater for removing paint it should work.
Arnold Kenyon you do not need to sand the black paint off of your trim. even if you use fine sandpaper it will mess up your trim . all you need is a rag, t-shirt or whatever and a can of lacquer thinner. soak the rag in the thinner and just wipe the paint off. as a bonus for doing it this way the alum. trim will look like you polished it when all you did was wipe off the paint. i have done this to 2 f-100,s. as far as the wood grain goes maybe contact paper for kitchen cabinets might work .?
