Transmission lines swapped?!

So I went to replace the transmission lines on my 86 5.8/c6 because the current lines are more rubber than metal and puking everywhere. When comparing the new vs old it looks like the lines are switched at the oil cooler. I'll admit that I barely know what I am doing and I'm learning as I go so bare with me and try to follow if you can so on the new lines, it looks like the line that comes from the rear of the tranny should go to the lower port on the oil cooler, but the current set up is running to the upper port on the cooler. Same with the line that runs from the forward position on the tranny, it looks like it should run to the upper port on the cooler, but it's running to the lower port. The radiator appears stock (at least it looks like the one in my Haynes manual). I guess my question is, can these lines be swapped like that, did I get the wrong lines (seems unlikely), or what? I hope you guys understand what i am saying (i barely understand!) Please help! Thanks in advance!

I do understand what you are saying.
The only thing I would want to know before saying if I would or would not worry is what line is out and in on the trany. If you want I am sure you can Google it and this is way I would like to know.

I would want the hot trany oil (the out side) going in at the top of the radiator where it is the hottest and out low on the radiator the coolest going in on the trany.

The entire trans cooler is in the cold side of the radiator. It doesn't matter which way the fluid flows.

a quick Google search (which brought me right back to this website) says that the front is oit, rear is in. So, I guess the lines I bought are correct and the current set up was wrong. Thanks for the advice fuzzface! Hopefully this will also stop the insane heat blowing in from the hole in the 4x4 shifter boot!

Sorry to say I don't think it will help much on hot air blowing in the 4x4 boot hole.
I think most of that heat comes from the motor area.
