Hello thank you for having me on the forum.
I have a 99 Eddie Bower edition and I was driving down the road then all of a sudden it at a stop light it wouldn't move. I can hear it changing gears but it will not engage. I had a guy come hook up his computer and he said it was the transfer case. I was wondering if I need to replace the entire transfer case or can I just get a new motor or maybe something came loose? When I looked under the truck it looks like the drive line is slipped out about a 1/4" any suggestions???
Thank you
Something snapped inside the t-case, so you're either going to pull it apart to see what's wrong and repair it or just grab one from a junkyard and swap it out.
I'm going to have it pulled and open it up. I'm hoping that I can just fix it. I don't want to have too get a new one. How hard are they to pull? Do I need a transmission jack to safely lower it? I've worked on plenty of engines but never this before.
