Another One Down...

My Father-in-law is a good man. As long as I've
known him, the rules have been pretty simple:
1) Treat his daugher with utmost respect
2) Buy Ford trucks.

The only trucks allowed in his "stable" are Super Duties. Apparently my raves about my new truck and the EB changed his mind. This was in the driveway when I arrived this evening (the silver truck is mine).

Nice. The title is misleading. Made me think that there was a problem with your truck.

Sems like the SuperCrew 6.5 ft bed is becoming more and more popular.

He's missing tow mirrors!

The 6.5' bed with the HD tow package and tow mirrors does make a very compelling choice for previous F-250 owners. The 6.2L 6AT can be viewed as a disadvantage when compared to the 3.5TT w/ the 10AT.

I think he's going to be pleased. But, let us know what he thinks as he gets to use it.

He ordered this truck and I'm not sure why he didn't get the tow mirrors. Maybe didn't realize they didn't come witht the tow package. Then again, I'm not sure he got the tow package either.

I don't think he's owned a gas truck since the 80's. He's playing like he's not sure about the motor, but his wife has told me otherwise.

Tell him about these:
Amazon Amazon
. I have towed 4500 miles with them and love them. The perfect mix of wider mirrors when towing and standard mirrors when not.

As for the engine, remind him not to put diesel in it as he'll think that's what he's got.

I've got some similar to those and love them. Factory tow mirrors are great but if not towing all the time I like the smaller for everyday use.

I like the color. I am going to consider it next time I buy a new truck.

Yeah, I like the color too. They live two miles from the nearest paved road, so this is the best color for hiding the dirt.

I also live on a dirt road and had that same color on my F250. I could about go a whole, dry CA Summer without washing it.

The Silver on my F150 is pretty good too though.

Me three. Our driveway is almost a mile before paved road. The silver seems to work very well. I'd feel like a criminal if I had a black truck...

I love the way a black or charcoal gray vehicle looks when it's CLEAN, but I can't keep one clean......
I've found Sliver and White stay "looking" cleaner longer. I do like that color though.

My '04 that I had was black and it looked great when clean and polished, unfortunately that usually lasted about 15 minutes

Maybe if & when we move to town I will get one of the dark colors. Right now, we are putting them to use, and dirt-hiding colors is the rule. My significant other's truck is kind of a charcoal. Looks great when it's clean (even though it is 7 years old), but keeping it that way is a challenge.
