about 2700 a year, I'm 17. Thats for Liability on a 1990 F150.

of course - they tend to get nasty about the $100K+ car accident I had 2 years ago.

WOW!!! I should go into the insurance business. I pay $76 every 6 months ( liability ) for my 95' F150 SC 4X4. It was $273/6 months when I had full with a $500 deduct. That's American Family. If I had to pay what you are are paying I think I would get a moped.
By the way I am 32 years old. It was higher when I was younger, but not that bad.

Not that I am condoning this, but, getting married reduced my insurance by $2200. I got married when I was 19, before that I was paying $832 every 3 months for a 95 s-10 ext V6, I had one too many speeding tickets and two accidents be for I was 19.

I am now 27, 3 kids, w/ 2000 honda odysea (full coverage, $100 deduct) and a 88 f150 supercab 4x4 w/351 V8 (liability), My total insurance bill is $104 a month or $624 every 6 months. I think this is very reasonable. I have State Farm insurance on everything including me ( not the kids or wife, just house and cars). My truck is only $24 a month on liability w/ roadside and towing assitance.

And to all you people that think I had to get married for reasons that were in my control (get my drift), we did not have our first child until a year and a half after we got married. (My parents thought the same thing when we told them on short notice that we were getting married at the courthouse the following monday after announcing the engagement. What can I tell ya, it just felt right! We did have a church wedding for the rest of the family to see later on.)

The point is: you'll grow out of it. ( the high insurance)

sorry for the long post,

Fishin,

WOW, that's a lot for insurance, my husband and I, 23 and 21 only pay 325.88/6 months for my truck 92 f-150 351 4x4 and his car 92 thunderbird 302 supercoupe. . . we also get a discount with our insurance on the truck because the crash test rating is so good on it apparently. Since we moved to Virginia i've been in 2 accidents inside of 3 months (not with my truck). . . helps when they're not your fault though.
They're only screwing you over cuz your young. We're military and have a mil. company for insurance there's another reason our's is low. . . look around. . . stay away from geico having been a person screwed over by them and know many others who have as well.

Keep a clean record and you should see that rate drop significantly when you turn 21

I pay 680 for 6/months on my '93 F-150.

I actually see a drop when I add my beater, '84 Dodge W250, to about 450 for the Ford.

I'm 23 and have been told that I'll get off the younger driver insurance rating when I hit 25.

I did see a drop when I hit 21, but it was less than $50.

I'm not going to say what the '03 GMC's insurance is, need less to say, it's half my payments each month.

I pay about $1200 a year now & i'm 27. But thats for a '94 F-150 5.0 & a '03 Suzuki GZ250 cruiser motorcycle. I got in more than a few wrecks when i was young & dumb. Now i'm just older & insane I think insurance companies are just legalized ripoff artists because you'll end up paying them far more than they ever have to pay out & when they do have to pay out they try like hell to wiggle out of it. Luckily for me my insurance company don't know that with me behind the wheel my F-150 is capabile of many very untrucklike manuvers
