2.9 rebuild cost
Hey there knucklehead11! I thought you were putting the Turdster out to pasture?
Adam, you can rebuild, with machine work for about $650.00, or get a reman. for $650.00. All depends on how much work you want to do yourself. And how long you can go with out a vehicle.
If you have the tools, go for the rebuild. If not, go for the reman. for now. You can usually get some type of warranty at the good companies. Ford Performance Catolog ($5.00) at your dealership.

Avanti and ccloveraz--- If you guys can... Please post some pics for us older folks, who need some encouragement to start another project!!!!.... If you can't, that's ok. I still don't have a Digital camera or a scanner yet myself.
