Radiator support bar??

Has anybody installed a Mishimoto radiator support bar? Going to change out stock intercooler pipe and instead of cutting old radiator support to make it fit, Mishimoto sells a supposedly beefier radiator support bar to help with radiator flexing so it wont crack and it is already notched out to accommodate a after market intercooler pipe. Wondering if its just the old snake oil sales pitch or does it actually do as advertised? It would be nice if it did actually help with less radiator cracks that these 6.4's are prong to, one less thing to worry about when towing across country. Product is to new to find out any reviews from actuall people, all i can find is reviews by the manufacturer. Wanting to find a side by side comparison to see just how beefier it is compared to the stock one.

After finding more info on the net it does seem that chassis front end flex does play a roll in radiator cracks on the 6.4's. I bit the bullet and ordered the beefier radiator upper support bar. Going to change out my intercooler, larger intercooler cold air pipe, new intercooler boots and the radiator support bar all at once. Will take pics of upgraded radiator support bar next to stock one to compare size difference. I rather spend a few bucks of preventive upgrade maintenance if it avoids downtime while vacationing.

Fyi, other people have mentioned that a front hitch helps. I installed one although it wasn't for that benefit.

ditto

front hitch boxes in the front end so your radiator does not become a chasis cross brace.
