TS Chip question

I am looking for some help. I removed the TS chip from my 7.3, batteries were disconnected. Replace the ECM and the truck turns over but doesn't start. I put the chip back in and it starts up. Any idea what's causing the no start with the chip removed?

Why did you remove the old PCM and replace it with another?

What year is your Ex and what PCM did you replace your old one with?

ts chip

I was wanting to move the chip from a 00 ex to a 01. When I removed the TS Chip from the old truck and re-install the computer/ecm, I could only get it to crank but not start. I put the chip back in and it fired right up. I don't know why it didn't like having the chip removed.

I'd call TS-performance. Personally my guess would be clean all the connections first then I would try turning the key to the "on" position.... then off 6x, (learning) . In addition I'd have the chip on "stock", which essentually by-passes the chip.

The problem I am having is with the truck I removed the chip from. After I removed the chip and put back the ecm, the truck only turns over- but doesn't start. So would the key-on, key-off 6x work?

I understand your original post... and to your new question, I can't answer with any certainty. Follow my suggestions and go from there. You're troubleshooting.

Call TS first.... did you do that? and cleaned the connections? and is it on the "stock" setting?
