Jim that really stinks on the pavers... I believe what Tom said makes sense too...
It might just be better to live with the cracks a couple of years and see if they are going to go anywhere.
I would think that a well made paver would not crack Jim. They should give between pavers and not crack. None of mine on my patio have cracked in 12 years. They were Borgart I believe. A poorly made compound could make them softer than a better made one. Which would be a typical Menards item unfortunately.
Well some success today... The local shop has a super scanner that could reach into the Durango's brain and pulled out not only the problems with the ABS but it also showed a BUNCH of codes that my OBDII CanBus scanner had cleared!
It showed no wheel speed on the left rear.
Having replaced all the sensors, I was pretty confident that the problem was either in the computer or wiring. I started ohming things out and found one of the two wires showed 2.5M Ohms rather than 0 as the other one showed. Hmmm.. I started opening up the wiring harness to find a good place to solder in a new Home-run wire to the front of the truck. I unwrapped a bunch and started probing with a pin and meter. Looking at the picture here you can see what I finally noticed.. green crud right at the edge of the insulation. BINGO!!!! I cut the insulation away and spliced in fresh wire and shrink tubed and re-wrapped the whole 9 yards..
Yea! NO ABS LIGHT and the cruise control etc. now works....
Oh and something else interesting about Mopar ABS Sensors.
They are Hall Effect sensors which also have a diode in them. They will only ohm out in one direction (polarity)... Checking the AC output of the sensors does not work. Instead, you get a DC Pulse (the diode does that)...
I'm getting quite an education with this truck!
It runs really well right now and just took it into Faribault to go shopping.
We are pleased that this truck is working so well and that Jake had made a solid choice in vehicles...
