Will a 1995 F150 5.0 MAF wiring harness work to convert a 1994 5.8 SD engine over to MAF? I assume won't be plug and play but not opposed to swapping out some pins if someone has done this before and can advise.
My F350 has a C6 so should be easier to track down a MAF CPU to work if I can get wiring in place.
The 5.0 and 5.8 are the same as far as external electronics go. If you have the entire harness, it will work just fine on the 5.8
Thank you Lead Head, I do remember 5.0 and 5.8 wiring harness are interchangeable. I guess my question is what are the differences in engine wiring harness on a 1995 302 MAF and the cab wiring harness in my 1994 351 SD truck. I assume its not as easy as plugging in the wiring harness and CPU and running with it. I feel like the distributor and a few other things were changed with the MAF set-up?
I popped a head gasket on my F-350 so although I don't like to change multiple things at one time to be able to isolate issues I figure I might as well do a MAF conversion since I am having to do a rebuild anyways. Have some GT40 heads and a edelbrock truck performer intake to bolt onto the remanned short block I am getting figure I can get crazy with a CAM too with a MAF set-up.

Distributor is the same but there are differences in the chassis portion of the engine harness, all the wires for sequential injection and the MAF meter don't exist so you have to add them. You can use the donor harness to accomplish this, you have to pull the wires and pins and insert them into the '94 PCM connector in the correct locations.
