The check for the materials was turned over before they started and they lost it. Now the Insurance Co. has to cut another one.

We're beginning to think that. Started with the insurance adjuster sending the check to the bank, the house has been paid for, for ten years.

As long as it turns out OK and doesn't leak you are fine..
It sucks anytime you have to deal with an insurance company

The insurance co. doesn't have it on their files that the house is paid for.
