Do manual window regulators work with power window set up?
Quick question. Confused.. I have a window regulator in my driver's side rear door that has the teeth sheered off and needs to be replaced. Thing is, all I can seem to find are regulators labeled "manual". Do these work with the XLT power window motor set up??

If not, what's the part number for this darn thing??
Manual window regulators will not work with power windows. I'll try and find the part numbers off amazon that I used when I swapped years ago. I converted my Bronco from manual to power, and Amazon had the power window regulator/motor combo. They had that for both doors, and it was surprisingly inexpensive.
Awesome video! I didn't watch the whole thing (because I've replace the regulators a few times on these trucks, and I don't have rear doors on my bronco) but I'm sure it will help out a bunch for people who need to do this! Your kids seemed excited to be around you fixing your truck! Eventually when I have kids (I don't plan on it anytime soon though!), I hope they like being around this stuff!
I didn't seem to catch it, but did you say why the regulator gear was stripped? That is very unusual for the regulator gear itself to be damaged like that. I'm thinking something fell in there and messed up the gear or maybe was shoved between the window and top of the door. Usually the gears in the motor fail (since they are plastic) before the regulator gear itself would fail!

In the video I point out where someone had previously drilled out the door where the motor mount bolts are... I'm thinking someone replaced just the motor, not the whole regulator, at some point, and they prolly had it misaligned with the teeth on the arm, causing it to strip...
