I need a new computer for my truck. Ford says it's not available trough them anymore. Does anyone know where to get a new or good refurbished one? Thank you.
Hmm well off the top of my head I can only think of local salvage yards or ebay. I've had good luck with my local yards for computer stuff, and also ebay for some stuff like that.
As for being fully refurbished, I junk yards won't have that. Ebay might have that, but then again even though I've had good luck on ebay with that, you always have to be careful when refurbished electronics and stuff come into play and make sure the sellers aren't trying to get away with anything.
I would think some vendors may refurbish them. Maybe DP tuner can mess with your old ECU and rebuilt it? I haven't actually checked but I know some places rebuilt IDMs, why not ECUs? If I find out I'll post something up.
Okay I found a vendor that does. Swamps will rebuild your PCM for 475 dollars, or charge you 42.50 if they find out your pcm doesn't need to be rebuilt.
