2017 F350DRW pulling 41ft 5th wheel. This is the 4th super duty I've owned with the integrated brake controller. Every other truck I was able to lock the brakes with the lever. Towed for the first time with this truck and it will not lock the brakes with the lever. Doesn't even appear to be slowing it down when I use the lever. The brakes appear to be working, but something is completely different. Same camper as last year pulling with a 2014 F350 and it would lock them up with the settting of 7.5. I've tried changing the settings in the command center to "heavy brake" but did not make any difference. Any ideas?

I fdon't know about the '17, but in my '16, there is also a setting for either electric brakes, or electric/hydraulic brakes.....might want to make sure this setting is correct.
In addition to selecting electric, or electric over hydrolic, the is a low, medium, high effort, and then the 1-10 scale. Go back and verify, edit settings from low to high, and try 9-10. It won't actually lock the brakes like before, but as long as the truck is moving, it will apply more and more force, I tried coasting in neutral and it brought ebpverything to a stop at medium, 7.5, and your trailer is far larger.
Someone will have to help me out here because I haven't been in mine for a week but there is also a setting for heavy vs light trailers in the display.
Setting up trailer you have electric or electric over hydraulic EOH. Make the correct selection which I guess is electric. The EOH electric over hydraulic is like equipment trailer, low boys etc. Next is the size of the trailer Small Medium Large (I may have this worded wrong). If you have a 41ft trailer then select Large/Heavy then select your gain until it works. If it don't work on heavy with gain at 10 then you most probably need the brakes adjusted.
