My friend owns this dealership, he's actually looking for you. I asked him for a rust free 2005 4x4 in extremely good shape less the engine. Will see... C, feel free to call him his name is Arsenio.
Thanks LL, got the itch bad, you know how it goes.

Don't get me wrong I like the Cummins and owned a 2007 Dodge Cummins and had no issue with it, but it seems that there are three factors (outside of the challenge) when comparing engines: performance, longevity, and maintenance cost or ease of maintenance. Does the Cummins have an advantage in any of these?
IMHO it is much better. Don't get me wrong, loved my 7.3, but I can get anywhere from 400-over 1000 HP from this engine if I want to. I am shooting for 400-500 RWHP!
1. Simple to work on
2. TONS of parts to chose from
3. Easy mods
4. cheap to maintain.
The only I am building is a 2001 24V with a 180HP P7100 pump on it. Best combo. Full mechanical, no electronics at all
Appreciate that, thanks! Which one are you talking about though LOL?
It is a Green 2003 V10 Limited 95k miles. Interior looks decent and the underside looks very clean for being a northern truck. They have it listed at $7995. I have some free time tomorrow so I can run up there and take a look inside and get some pictures of everything for you.

Very nice of you twitch, I would rep you but I have to pass it around first.

Sounds good, very kind Twitch :-)
Pretty leary of a northern X. Can you PM me the link for the ad? Price is fair though.
Just don't want to waste your time.
I have been running the VIN before I even go and look at them now as I don't want any accidents on the car fax or northern X's due to rust.
I found a black 03 4x4 v10 locally yesterday, ran the VIN, came from Boston, lived there its whole life till 4 months ago until coming to Florida. Also had an accident. After the last one I looked at that came from Boston as I posted the link above. Terrible vehicle for rust.

Thanks for explaining! I am not knocking the project because I do think it's a cool project. I just didn't understand the advantages.
