Call For TSB's
Butts Buick's showroom was on the NW corner of State Street (Santa Barbara's former 'auto row') and Highway 101.
The neon sign was above the showroom windows that wrapped around the front of the building facing both State & 101.
When Cal-Trans widened 101, Butts went bye bye.
Today, despite the widened 101 (aka Pacific Coast Highway), traffic can back up for over a mile at this intersection on weekends.
Auto Row has since moved from the downtown area further north on 101. The only dealership building (formerly Packard, now a restaurant) that's extant on State Street, is across from the Reagan Ranch Center.
We have a Dick Witham Ford here in Waterloo. I never "noticed" the other angle on the name till an ad made the Tonite Show or something like that a few years ago, and they were giggling like 3rd graders.
I came across this site (via SuperFords website) that provides access to downloading/printing TSBs.
Many of the Ford issued TSB are not really useful to us, but there are some that would be worthy of saving and sharing - if you still want to provide them at the garagemahal. Search Technical Service Bulletins
You would enter the year (like 1986) and the make and model, then select the category (steering, electronics, etc.) and it will show the TSBs available.
Thanks! I'll have to think about this.
