that pic is around 10 years old. it looks a lot worse now. the driver side rocker and about 4 inches of both cab corner and front door jamb fell off last winter while plowing. the floor pan is paper thin and you have to make sure your foot is on the frame or you can step down to the road.
frame from the cab back is already cleaned and painted with new shock bushings and fuel tanks, and new bed ready to drop on. when it goes inside the bay the cab is coming off, front frame section is getting cleaned and painted, engine is getting resealed, new bushings in the front end, and then the new cab is going on. then outside for the new bed and finishing touches.
instead of stacks and backrack, i have an old double tube roll bar i am putting in the bed with the factory side rails that came with the bed.
color of the cab and bed is rangoon red center with black top and lower.
instead of repainting it, i am going to leave it the original black over red

i am using the complete black over red sheet metal off the 87 body donor. while the white sheet metal looks good from a distance, 29 years of plowing and salt water vehicle recovery has taken it toll on the truck and you can pretty much poke a hole in the sheet metal with your finger anywhere you want.

Started an intro to bodywork class, so I'm hoping with some techniques ive learned, I can finish the body on this one. Did start a little while back on adding an on board air setup, completely under the body, not wasting any bed or toolbox space. Using a 5 gallon air tank, viair 400c and will be adding a Hadley style air horn, ( hornblasters mother trucker 29"), and gonna be using a superduty upfitter switch module to run the different accessories I've already got and for this.- I can't post pics at the moment, in the app or online.
