Coolant gone.

ok my truck has needed coolant constantly for 3 weeks straight. I don't see any leaks any where nor do see any puddles of coolant. My truck has been throwing a code P0112 which was the intake temperature sensor. I replaced that clearer the codes but nothing. What could be the issue? I have an 06 f250 6.0 by the way. It has been "bullet proofed" with head studs, new oem gaskets, oil cooler, new ficm, after market cold air intake and the egr has been taken off. I have it tuned as well. Any help is greatly appreciated!'

was told to post over here as well so here it is. Side note I haven't seen a rise in my oil more do I have a loss in power or boost. Temperatures look all good.

I assume its not puking?

How long ago was the work done?

Did you check for a leak at the EGR delete? Where the tube connects to the oil cooler housing? Common area for a leak....

do you have a pressure gauge tee'd into the cooling system?

If there is no coolant under the motor then it is going out the tail pipe, or into the engine oil. Pull the oil dip stick and look for that chocolate milk shake color - either way it is probably time to pull the heads.

The plastic y under the degas tank could have a small crack and the leak barely noticeable.

How much are you adding?

How low is it in morning after cooled? Replaced cap yet? Tee a gauge into the small line from the radiator to the degas tank to ck pressure, see if that same pressure holds for several hrs or leaks off fast.

He had stated in the Super Duty forum that he was losing a gallon of coolant every 3-4 days.

Danny, the tee in the hose at the degas tank is what I was talking about in the Super Duty forum when you posted this, that will check to see if you have either one of the two issues. 1) EGR Cooler failure or 2) Head Gasket failure.

I am glad to see you made it over here. Welcome to the 6oh side.

What are you using to check all your PID's with?
