I've tried to search and have read dozens of posts and still have the same question!
I was quoted on a price of $36339 on a truck with a sticker price of $40995. That's a dealer discount of $2906 and rebates of $1750, this is a F250 XL with just a few options.
All that seems good but I haven't been able to determine if that is good deal or should I try for a better deal?
I'm trading a totally loaded F150 2013 FX4 and I'm tired of trying to keep it clean and nice!! I just want a truck to haul wet dogs and pull the boat. A 150 could do the job but I want a F250 and the on the road price will come in at a difference of $7451. That's allowing me 30K on my FX4 which by all pricing guides I find online a very good trade allowance.
30k trade in? I have exact year/modeltruck as you, fully loaded fx4, 60k and in excellent condition. My best case trade in value says 29k and average is 27. If you have trade quote at 30k I'd take it.

30K is good but not as good as you might think!! My FX4 only has 15K miles on it and I'm sure they will retail it for as much as I'm paying for the F250.
My truck is my 2nd vehicle and when I set here trying to explain why I'd do this trade, I realize how stupid it all sounds. But I've done dumb **** before and probably will continue.
I closed my '17 lariat fx4 for $54 even. Msrp was $67250.... wanted 20k clear on my trade in after payoff. Which was more than it booked, wound up 19k after payoff bringing my finance amount after rebate I got to $34k even .. exactly the #s I needed
Beechmont ford in Cincinnati. They didn't even have a white one so they bought one from a dealer in Illinois. Called this morning to let me know it's in. They do have an identical black one. $67590 was my actual price.
I closed a deal on Saturday for 67000 on a 77500 truck. You can probably do better
$10,000 off on a $77.5K sticker is a great price. Where? What dealer? Who should I call?
I sure hope to get mine that low, mine MSRP's at 77,765 the X-plan will only get it down to $73,393 then subtract the locked in 1K rebate at time of order only brings it to $72.393. Rodney pointed out getting another $750 off by requesting information on a new truck, so if that comes in it dips me below 72K. My salesman keeps saying he can beat the X-plan pricing, and all my preliminary financing projections are assuming it will be around 70-71 K, if I get to 67K I'd be seriously happy.
Buy a 40$ membership to AQHA online and get a $500 cash ford coupon
Good find. The fine print says you have to be a member for 60 days. Do you know if you can get the coupon ahead of that? My truck is coming in next week sometime. Stackable with Ford Private Offer and commercial upfit assistance?
Not sure if you can use 60 day period. I found it a few weeks ago, I bought a membership because I plan on ordering soon. I had read in a forum somewhere that ford takes rebates and then cash offers but cash offers aren't stackable. For example
you can't use military 500$ and this coupon as well because they are both ford private cash offers. Again this is just what i read, I don't have personal experience yet.

I used a $750 private cash offer from Ford
and the $ 500 milatary offer and these are stackable.
