I don't seem to be able to find the concentrate on their website. When you click on the concentrate one it shows 50/50 in the pic. The F350 I just got has green coolant ***** and I want to change it out ASAP
There in lies the challenge. Truck is 2001 F350. The truck has 283000 n the clock but engine was changed out 100000 ago and it has 99 PSD 250 written on it - literally in yellow paint. I did notice the engine seems to sit 'lower' than my F250, don't know if this is a 99 trait or the fact its 2WD.
What year is your truck? The ELC will not play nicely with the early 99's.....
This almost doesn't apply to me, I have a 2002. But is it just the injector cups or injector cup sealant it doesn't play nice with? Or is there more to it than that on the early powerstrokes? Curious mostly because I have a couple spare motors sitting around out of obs trucks.
Yep, there's a certain type of sealant for the cups and being able to use elc. Now my answers are sorta vague and I can't elaborate on the exact sealant to use. As you already see it's always a little slow here on Sundays. I'm sure one of our heavy hitters will chime in later.
But I do know it's not a cup issue.

Thanks Stewart for pointing me directly to where I needed to look. The blocks in question are both 97s'. I think with the info you gave me I should have a good road map to make it elc ready should I ever need them or decide I want a forged rod motor.

Thanks! So just to be sure, cos I do not want to screw up! The number on the sticker on the valve cover is 1046420 DOM 26 May 99. The number on the oil cooler plate is the same. SO i should be good for ELC correct?

If those numbers are accurate, then based on the info Gooch has supplied, yes, that engine would be ok for ELC.
