E4OD repin MLPS TRS plug transmission range sensor pinout
If you have to repin the connection on the MLPS / TRS plug you release the pins from the end of the plug where the red plastic cap is. Pry out the red plastic cap and look in holes with a super bright flashlight to see what to do. Reach in there with a wire, probe or tiny screwdriver to release the pins. Hold the plastic lock while you pull the wire out the top of the plug. First You have to snap the cap out of the top, where the wires go in, of the plug and take out the "rubber" seal that the wires go through. The pins come out easily when you release the lock. Don't force them.
Multiple wiring diagrams exist for this plug, be careful.
If your transmission shifts hard make sure you get this right before you do anything else.
